Bio

Lisa Sloane creates mixed-media and collage pieces, using imagery from nature and beyond to explore our internal landscapes.

Lisa resonates most closely with animal teachers, both in her own personal experiences as well as in how they are represented in the traditional teachings of indigenous cultures. Those lessons provide a gateway in her artistic process to creating pieces that examine the connection between the natural world and our personal journeys. Formerly a practicing Feng Shui consultant, Lisa has always been interested in the connection between our internal world and the physical landscape surrounding us—an interest that has continued and strengthened in her artistic journey.

As an artist with experience in many genres including silk screen, embossing, painting, drawing, jewelry making, photography, and digital graphic design for print and web, Lisa uses her own original artwork as the components for her mixed-media pieces. She is a member of the Coastside Mixed Media Artists group and lives in San Mateo, California with her family and far too many four-legged creatures.
